Tofu Hamburger
~Ground meat and tofu are a welcome addition to this high protein main dish.~
6 ounces(150g) tofu, well drained
1/2 pound (225g) lean ground beef
3 tablespoons green onion, chopped
1 teaspoon gingerroot, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon oil
Instructions:
1. Drain water out from tofu. Crumble tofu with folk, mix with ground beef.
2. Add chopped green onion, gingerroot and crushed garlic.
3. Season with soy sauce, salt and dash of pepper; mix well.
4. Add toasted sesame seeds. Make 4 hamburger patties.
5. Coat hamburger patties with tofu.
6. Heat oil in a skillet and fry hamburger patties until nicely browned both sides.
